Instructions for presenters
Oral Presentations
There are two types of oral presentation. It is important to remember that the times listed above are the total times for presentations. Speakers should aim to talk for several minutes less than these times, to allow for questions and change over. Suggested times are included above. The session chairs will follow the schedule rigorously.
Plenary Lectures: 50 minutes (e.g. 40 + 10 mins)
Invited Lectures: 25 minutes (e.g. 20 + 5 mins)
Most oral presentations will be given using PowerPoint or Acrobat and a data projector. Speakers are strongly encouraged to send their talks to quitel.2011@gmail.com before the event.
Any speaker who needs equipment or software should contactus as soon as possible.
Poster Presentations
Posters hould ideally be A0 in size and will need to be presented in a portrait (vertical) format. A0 is 841 mm (33.3 inches) x 1189 mm (46.8 inches). The size of the poster must not exceed 950 mm (37.4 inches) in width by 1200 mm (47.2 inches) in height. It must be vertical. Please use velcro to fix your poster to the posterboard.
